WHO WE ARE

We are a not-for-profit group from Bluewater Country, with members from both Sarnia, Ontario, and Port Huron, Michigan, located on either side of the St. Clair River as well as surrounding areas. 

If you prioritize the natural over the supernatural, reality over mythology, and evidence over faith, you’ll find a welcoming community here.

• To create a society where reason and evidence inform both personal and civic values, and where individuals are not discriminated against for their commitment to rationality and truth. 

Our mission

• To foster a community in the Sarnia-Port Huron area that embraces secular humanism, advocates for freethought in public discourse, offers supportive fellowship, and engages in humanitarian efforts. 

Our events

• We host a monthly Skeptics Breakfast, 
• An annual Summer Barbecue and a Winter Solstice Dinner, 
• Wine with Ted Talks, and Movie Nights, 
• Skeptics at the Pub at the Refined Fool in Sarnia, 
• Skeptics under the Bluewater Bridge in Point Edward to enjoy the “fries under the bridge”,
• and various other social events!

BAHACon!

We are excited to have recently held our largest event to date, BAHACon 2024, and are eagerly preparing for BAHACon 2025, scheduled for August 8 to 10, 2025, at the Four Points Sheraton Hotel & Conference Center. BAHACon 2025 will feature an impressive lineup of 10 speakers! 

All profits from BAHACON will be donated to local charities, including the Alzheimer’s Society and Bluewater Health.
